Materials students should bring:
Crochet hook in size 6mm/J – you may find it cost effective to buy
a set especially if you plan to crochet more. I like the type with the foam handle – a bit easier on the hands!
Small scissors
Measuring tape
Darning or yarn needle to work in the ends when finished
A bag to tote all your precious work
Yarn for the cowl:
Worsted weight yarn (4) – a soft yarn in a light color (As a beginner, please avoid dark colors as it is very difficult to see your stitches) approx. 200 yds will make a nice length cowl. For your first project you should look for an inexpensive acrylic - possibly one that says no pill or low pill
