Personal use of the Local Cloth Studio means that the purpose is for personal and/or for use with friends. If the use involves bringing guests, the renter must pay a $50 refundable deposit.

Business/Teaching use of the Local Cloth Studio means that the use generates money for the renter. Local Cloth expects that the use will be fiber-related, but non-fiber related classes will be considered on a case-by-case basis. If the use involves bringing guests/groups, the renter must pay a $50 refundable deposit.

After scheduling is confirmed, an invoice will be sent via email to be paid via Local Cloth's Membership platform, Wild Apricot. Once payment is received, the rental will be confirmed and added to the Local Cloth calendar.

If paying a deposit, it is the responsibility of the renter to inform the Studio Coordinator at the conclusion of the rental so that they can inspect the space. After the inspection is complete and no damage is reported, a refund will be issued.

Renters may cancel their private rental up to two weeks before the date of the rental for a refund. Please note that refunds will be the total amount paid minus a $10 processing fee. Cancellation within two weeks before the date of rental results in a forfeiture of the fees paid.

All renters must attend a one-time 15-20 minute safety training with the Studio Coordinator at Local Cloth prior to their scheduled rental. To schedule a safety training, please contact the Program Coordinator.
