This month we will be dyeing with black walnut (Juglans nigra). We will learn how to extract the pigment from the hulls and then dye cotton, silk and wool with and without a mordant. Maria has some special additional treats for us all coming from the walnuts!
Please bring gloves, either kitchen gloves or single use and an apron. And as always bring some handwork to work on while things are simmering as well as show and tell if you have something to share.
