Join Majik Studios in this special 2 day class only for Local Cloth Members. Marbling is the ancient art form of floating paint on a thickened water surface. The mesmerizing expanding paints are manipulated to create dazzling patterns. On the first day, we will practice the skills and techniques necessary to create intriguing patterns. Starting with the stone and freestyle, we will advance to multiple step drawn patterns which we will practice on paper on the first day. On the second day, the pretreated cotton fabric will be ready for your designs. Three pieces of cotton, roughly 26 inches by 26 inches each, will be ready for your creative whim. More cotton will be available for an extra fee of $15. The marbled cotton fabric which then can be stitched into a quilt, or any fabric art you desire.
