TUp your bookmaking skills with this hardcover book. We be making a quarter flat back bound book. This type of binding goes back to the middle ages and is still a popular binding for hand book makers. Book cloth will cover the spine and part of the cover, the rest will be covered with decorative paper. The text block is sewn onto tapes and then attached to the covers with the endpapers. We will use some new materials and tools to make this book such as tapes, super, book cloth and headbands. This is a sturdy, flexible book thats great for many applications. This is a class for someone with some experience with bookmaking. Please feel free to contact me if you are unsure if this would be a good class for you. I will provide all the materials and tools but feel free to bring your own paper for the cover please contact me or bring it along and we can see if it will be suitable, also bring your own tools if you have them. Bring lunch and something to work on as there are some periods of drying time. The first group finished the book by 3:30 so just letting you know it may be a bit early wrap up.
