Circular Weaving offers a wonderfully meditative weaving practice as you travel around the loom. Curious about this type of weaving or new to weaving? This full-day Introduction to Circular Weaving class covers the basic techniques of weaving on a circular loom. During the class, we’ll cover how to create yarn butterflies for weaving, how to warp a hoop loom, and some of the basic circular weaving techniques, including tabby, soumak, inlay and free form, which you can use in all types of weaving projects. You’ll leave the class with your very own circular weaving! This intro class is perfect for beginners and individuals with some weaving experience.

Materials fee: $30

Materials provided by instructor: Circular Weaving Kit includes: 10” Hoop Loom, cotton yarn for warp, 6 colors of yarn and 2 colors of roving for weft (*customizable), tapestry needle, and weaving pick.

Students should bring: Scissors
