Silk Paper

Silk ‘Paper. This Fiber Art class will teach you how to make a durable piece of silk ‘paper’ using silk threads, some wool ,silk hankies, various fibers, fusible bond and mod podge . You will turn it into a gorgeous piece of silk fiber paper, ,journal cover, bowl , Art hanging or sculpture like item. No experience necessary…just your creative imagination. Please bring something to carry it home in as it does take overnight to dry.

Materials provided by instructor: Silk hankies, silk and wool fibers, roving wool, mod podge, ribbons, plastic to work on, forms to mold your piece on and water bowls. 

Materials students should bring:  Apron , container to carry your piece home in, hand towel or rag to stuff a bowl withAn apron and an iron
