Spinning Party with Martha Owen

For November, we have a Special Spinning Study Group...a Spinners Party with Martha Owen & Elizabeth Johnston!

Bring your friends and bring your wheel for a light hearted spinners party at Local Cloth.  

We will be joined by Martha Owen from the John C Campbell Folkschool in Brasstown NC. Her extended family includes sheep (mostly Corriedale, Shetland, BFL) and French Angora rabbits.  Also a banjo player and known to tell a story or two, Martha's interest in sheep and wool, music and dance has carried her quite literally and joyfully around the world.   

And also joining us is spinner and knitter Elizabeth Johnston from Shetland Handspun. A popular teacher, Elizabeth was named Patron of Shetland Wool Week in 2018 and has special expertise in knitted Fair Isle and lace.

This is NOT a class but a get together, tho Martha and Elizabeth are ready to review certain wooly topics and to give reminders and pointers. 

$10-15 donation suggested to help cover Martha's gasoline and expenses. Open to all spinners and curiosity seekers.
