Handweaving is one of the many crafts that bring people to Western North Carolina. Because of amazing women like Francis Goodrich, Lucy Morgan, Olive Campbell, Eleanor Vance, and Charlotte Yale, who laid the foundation, weaving is still very much alive. The beginning weaving class is a two-day workshop that gives students the opportunity to weave a small project with others, ask questions, and see what weaving is all about. We will discuss materials and basic tools while getting familiar with a table loom. Each student will have the opportunity to wind a warp and weave a tea towel.

Level: Beginner

Members: $200

Non members: $240

Instructor: Brandi Adcock  bio

Materials fee: $20

Materials provided by instructor: Yarns for a small warp. Project record sheet and packets. ( I have several reed and sley hooks that may be shared)
