Clay resist with Indigo

This class explores clay paste resist and natural indigo dyeing. Learn to mix clay paste and a variety of application techniques, along with the chemistry of natural indigo and how to care for your vat. We will also discuss making clay from your local soil.

Level: All Levels

Instructor will supply: Indigo, clay, 2 cotton bandanas, paintbrushes 

Materials Fee: $25.00 

Students should bring: Well-scoured natural fiber, Mark making tools (blocks for block printing, favorite paintbrushes, screen printing screens, etc)

Registration: Members $50, Non-members $60
