Make a beautiful, fun, appliqued flower panel out of hand-painted fabrics. We'll create a rich palate of patterned fabrics using paints and stamps, then cut, layer, and collage these into flowers by stitching them onto a painted background. The panels can be used to make quilts, pillows, book-covers, etc. Some experience with applique is preferred.

Level: Intermediate

Materials Fee:  40 dollars includes: 2 yards linen per student, textile paints and color concentrates, brushes, stamps, mark-making tools, wonder-under fusible webbing.

What to bring: Extra fabric if you want more to play with (mid-to heavy weight wovens like linen, broadcloth, or upholstery fabric), sewing machine with adjustable zig-zag stitch, colored thread, fabric scissors, iron, sewing pins.

Registration: Members $100, Non-members $120
