Shibori but not blue

Shibori and indigo are a match made in heaven but you can also apply stitched shibori techniques with other plant dyes. We will stitch some small samples and then dye with a few plants which we will decide on in our May meeting.

What to bring: Small pieces of scoured fabric to stitch, this can be cotton, linen, silk or some of each. Strong nylon thread and long, thin needles. You can also pre stitch the samples before the meeting. As usual: notebook, apron, some handwork to work on during down time, any show and tell, as well as any books, magazines, websites, podcasts, events you have come across to share with the group.
