Eco Printing - The Next Generation

Eco Printing--The Next Generation is a follow-up to the introductory workshops. In this class, students will learn techniques for creating colored backgrounds to enhance the effects of eco printing on silk. Focusing on background surface design and color, we will work with natural dyes including cochineal, logwood and osage orange--as well as tannins such as pomegranate and gall nut.

Level: Intermediate

Prerequisites: Eco printing experience highly recommended.

Materials Fee: $30 includes all supplies and fabrics necessary for success. Students will leave with a 14" x 72" silk scarf, multiple color samples and handouts containing thorough instructions.
