Log cabin, houndstooth, Glen Urquhart check, pinwheel and shadow weave are all woven patterns that result when specific color orders in warp and weft combine with a weave structure to yield designs that could not be achieved by the structure or color order alone.
This is the second in a series of classes exploring the rich collection of woven patterns possible in a class of weaves called color-and-weave effects. This class focuses on 4-shaft twill color-and-weave effects. It is suitable for rigid-heddle weavers who know how to weave twill with two rigid heddles. Participants may choose to bring a pre-warped loom to class to weave along. Click on the Instructor link below to contact Karen to receive a draft in advance of class.

Materials fee: $5 for Handout with weaving draft, a warped demo loom, all yarn and weaving tools needed for class.
