Clamped resist is a very wide field. You can use plastic, wood, or metal with clamps to resist dye on folded fabric, or push fabric through a grid to get a crystalline effect, or use string in the well known tie-dye. We will throw caution to the wind and play with string, rubber bands, blocks, marbles, and any number of found and brought items. We will also explore arashi or pole wrap techniques.

We will then dye our masterpieces in indigo.

Materials Fee: $15 includes fabrics, indigo, use of shibori toybox

Registration: Members $100, Non-members $120

Instructor: Eileen Hallman
