Fiber, Nature and Texture: An Introduction to Eco-print dyeing

Learn to print on fabric using leaves, flowers and other botanical materials. We will use plants from the garden and talk about mordants, how to bundle so prints come out clearly with best color and how color shifting occurs in the dye bath. Working with different fabrics, we'll learn techniques to make each take color differently. Students will do three bundles, including one full length silk scarf and one shirt or blouse.  Materials fee - $30.
