Spiritex Organic Fabric & Apparel is hosting an event in honor of Fashion Revolution Week (4/23-4/29), and we wanted to connect with other local artisans, makers & producers who share this sentiment of environmental & social responsibility within the apparel/textiles/artistry/crafting fields.

If you're not already familiar with the international advocacy organization, Fashion Revolution, check out all the awesome things that they're doing here

We're hosting an event at Gallery MIA on Wednesday, April 25th from 5pm-8pm.  It'll start off as a social hour with appetizers, then a viewing of the groundbreaking documentary, The True Cost, followed by a panel discussion.

It'll be held at Gallery MIA, located at 61 1/2 N. Lexington Ave. in downtown AVL, starting at 5pm and ending around 8pm.

We're also trying to promote other individuals and organizations to host their own events to increase awareness for these industry issues and means for reducing them on a personal level (i.e. clothing swaps, workshops, classes, viewings, etc.)

If you're interested in joining or hosting your own event, or if you have any other questions, feel free to shoot me an email at taylor@ashevilleapparel.net or give me a call at (919) 815-8590

Hope to see some of you wonderful Local Cloth humans there!
