The re-opening of the Local Cloth retail space in September brought a steady stream of new and existing friends, fiber enthusiasts, and curious shoppers through our doors.

In our learning space, dozens of classes have already taken place, with fiber artists providing opportunities for novice and experienced creators to explore new modalities, elevate their skills, and explore new ways to express their creativity.

We’ve seen a healthy flow of new and returning visitors perusing our stock and purchasing one-of-a-kind creations from our artists.

Gallery Space Displays Artistry of Local Creators

Earlier this fall, the Tapestry Weaving Interest Group initiated a show of pieces on the theme of "Texture."  The show comprised 16 pieces, about half of which were tapestry weaving. Other works represented the modalities of quilting, felting, knitting, and other fiber arts.

Twelve-by-Twelve Fiber Show

Currently on display is the annual Twelve-by-Twelve Fiber Show, featuring fiber creations that fit in a 12-inch-by-12-inch square. The show celebrates the work of Local Cloth fiber artists and culminates in a closing reception and silent auction on November 13 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Local Cloth Studio. This festive evening will feature a silent auction with many of the incredible works of art from the show, plus other opportunities to win prizes. New this year is a virtual bidding option!

Refreshments will be served, and the Local Cloth Retail Shop will be open so guests can purchase one-of-a-kind creations from local fiber artisans.
