Japanese indigo contains the primary colors or their precursors. The basic ice water blue bath used on mordanted silk can be manipulated with time and temperature to give green and yellow. We will follow the process and share pieces of silk ribbon to put in our sample sheets.


Level: Beginner

Members: $50

Non members: $60

Materials fee: $10 (to be collected day of class)

Materials supplied by teacher: silk ribbon, handout for samples

Materials students could bring: apron & gloves
