Hi Folks, 

I am looking for a position as a studio assistant or sewist, for a garment maker/seamstress/tailor, dyer, or fiber artist/craftsperson working in patternmaking, dyeing and or sewing. 

I am a student, working on my BA in Sustainability at a low-residency school, Goddard College (it's amazing). My focus is on patternmaking and garment making. I am an advanced beginner in both, and an experienced beginner in natural and synthetic/acid dyeing. 

My background is in fine dining pastry kitchens, a career which I left to work on farms and follow my current path. Pastry training really taught me the value and importance of finding a mentor to apprentice. 

I am very interested in getting more involved with the Fibershed and Local Cloth - community fiber organizations- and helping to increase the visibility and interest in garments and fibers locally.
