Local Cloth is an Asheville-based non-profit organization with more than 300 members, and our mission is to grow the fiber economy through education, inclusive programming, and services which add value to local products. We advocate for our regional community of farmers, artists, makers and designers.We do this through workshops, retail sales, exhibits and special events which are planned and carried out by dozens of volunteers who need technical and administrative help. We are looking for someone who will provide administrative support for our programs and services under contract.
The Administrator will be responsible for the following:

maintaining, revising and improving our website, which runs on the Wild Apricot platform

creating and distributing workshop and event fliers and brochures

posting workshops and events on the website and in our newsletter

social media marketing
-
graphic design for fliers and postcards

ad design and
-
administrative support to the Board – particularly in members’ accounts and financial services matters
We hope to find someone with the following qualifications: experience working in a nonprofit environment and providing leadership to volunteers, expertise in efficiently carrying out operational duties and interacting with members, and experience managing a website and social media marketing campaigns. Desirable experience: planning and carrying out membership recruitment and community outreach, volunteer management. Pay is $17 per hour, paid monthly from invoices, not to exceed $750/month.
