The Poppet Doll Class: Join me for a playful workshop to make the cutest little spirit doll ever! I'll teach you how to needle-felt the face — even if you've never needle-felted before. I’ll walk you through a straightforward, step-by-step process and you’ll be needle-felting in no time! You’ll make a sweet little face you’ll love. Then, you'll give your doll a body, add some magic, put on her big hair, and get her all dolled up. More than just a doll, these cute and quirky spirits are messengers. And the doll you make will have a message just for you. She’ll be a talisman, a guide. You’ll feel her power.

Instructor: Stacy Vajta bio
Materials fee: $60
Materials provided by instructor: Wool, felting needles and pads. Doll patterns and filling for doll, extra material, scissors and yarn for hair in case it's needed. I'll have hair beads and various items for decorating the doll, including felt to make felt roses and thread and needles. I'll also have some crystals and stones for inside the doll. I have one sewing machine.
Students should bring: Students will need to bring 1/2 yard of fabric to use for their doll body, matching thread, scissors and yarn for hair. The yarn that works best for hair is thicker yarn (Bernat blanket yarn, chunky homespun or T-shirt yarn is fun. Ribbons or cut fabric can work too). And although beads, baubles, crystals and stones will be available to decorate the doll, students want to bring special items for inside the doll such as small crystals or stones or decorations for the doll itself. There is a small amount of sewing to be done. There will be several sewing machine available, but you can bring your own machine as well.
