LEADING UP TO the MT. MITCHELL ARTs & CRAFTs FAIR.
We are encouraging fiber art enthusiasts to come to the area the week before the Mt. Mitchell Arts & Crafts Fair and share their experiences with our fiber artists.
There will be classes, workshops, hands on opportunities, as well as discussions and knitting, sewing and quilting circles.

SATURDAY, JULY 29
Our week of focusing on fiber arts begins with an opportunity to meet a number of fiber folks at the Anything Fiber Sale in Asheville.

MONDAY, JULY 31
Stop by Yummy Mud Puddle and learn about the unique processes these fabric artists use.
Then visit some of the barns displaying quilt squares on the Quilt Squares Tour.
And, be sure to stop at Woodards rare Mérinos de Rambouillet sheep farm!
TUESDAY, AUGUST 1
Art Connections Tours offer custom small tours for art lovers to meet WNC professional artists in their private studios in order to have a personal experience and one-on-one opportunity. Join us for a Half-day tour, visiting a fiber farm and three fiber artists close to Asheville, in the Weaverville area (Kathie Briggs - Quilts, Deb Herman - Fiber Art, and Ann Hord-Heatherly - Dolls).
This 3-hour day camp from 9am to 12pm is for kiddos aged 8 to 12! Campers will get to meet fiber animals face to face; explore the beginning stages of processing animal fiber; and card, comb, wash, and wet felt!
