Botanical Journeys: Dyeing and Printing with Plants
December 4, 2020 - January 8, 2021
Local Cloth presents "Botanical Journeys: Dyeing and Printing with Plants." This year we are focusing on natural dyers and eco-printed fiberarts. This exhibit will highlight a mix of finished products and works in the stages of the process from unspun fiber to yarn to garments and rugs, handmade paper that has been eco printed and then made into books, naturally dyed and eco-printed fabric that has been sewn into original one of a kind garments. We have a diverse group of artists who's common thread is the use of plants to produce the beautiful color and designs in their work. Curated by Joyce Tromba and Mamie Fain
Participating artists: Denise Arcuri, Joan Berner, Olivia Goldstein, Laurie Jenkins, Nica Rabinowitz, Eileen Hallman, Dede Styles, Joyce Tromba, and Melanie Wilder
The exhibit will be in the Refinery Creator Space's Front Gallery, located at 207 Coxe Ave. An opening reception will be held on December 4 from 5:00 - 7:00pm.
