Everyone is Welcome! An Exhibit by Barbara McGuire

You’re invited to personal show that I will be having  July 14th, 4-8pm in the Asheville NC River Arts District, Historic Cotton Mill Building. I am hosted by the lovely Ka Amorastreya in her gallery of visionary art paintings and exquisite headdresses. Ka was formerly exhibiting at the art's council gallery in June. Her personal studio is a perfect setting for the show, titled ‘Seeing Through Now’. This wearable art is a series of ‘Statement Jewelry’ designs primarily reflecting feminine and nature imagery. Media includes ceramic, metal clay, polymer millefiori, wire, lamp work glass, found objects, sterling silver and semi- precious stones. Many pieces include components of metal smiths, lamp workers or wire artists I have known throughout my years of teaching. I am grateful to experience an integrated voice by embracing the flow of interconnecting works. Limited engagement! The Show closes Sunday July 15th and thereafter I will post the work online for all to see! But please come if you are in Asheville, NC – It will be a very special event and party!

    Saturday 7/14 4-8pm.
